Casa Carrizo

Three separate spaces that can be integrated into one: the Main House, a charming independent guesthouse that rents exceptionally well, and a street-level showroom. The property features expansive gardens with towering trees that create a private mini-forest, including pepper trees, walnut, date palms, mulberry, yellow acacia, jacaranda, mesquite, pine, lemon, conifer, pingüica, privet, and granjeno. It also boasts an original aqueduct from the 1700s, which is an integral part of the landscape. The construction dates back to 2011, with an extension built in 2023.
At street level, the guesthouse is on the left, with the garage and entrance to the showroom on the right. Descending a few steps leads you to the single-level main house, filled with large windows that not only brighten the space but also weave the house into the natural surroundings, offering beautiful views throughout the four seasons.
Upon entering, you’ll find the living room, dining area, kitchen, and a half-bath, all with stone finishes, cantera floors, skylights, and large windows — all within an open-concept layout.
At the end of the hallway is the master bedroom with its own sitting area, closet, bathroom, and private terrace.
In a separate exterior area is the guest room with its bathroom and access to the lush garden, a secret forest-like space that occupies nearly 85% of the entire property.
The gardens, or rather the private forest, are undoubtedly the standout feature of this home. It is vast, ideal for gatherings, with a fire pit area, barbecue, greenhouse, and a general atmosphere that delights nature lovers.
Casa Carrizo is the inspired creation of Mónica Ramírez Valerio, an artist who specializes in Object Art and Sustainable Interior Design. Passionate about the transformative possibilities of the world and natural fibers, and the reuse and recycling of materials in any space. This home is a beautiful reflection of her vision.
